Too Much Snow To Geocache?

I'm heading out toward Chester County (PA) tomorrow for a beekeeping class. Thought it might be a good opportunity to check the immediate area for any Geocaches.  However, looking out my window, I know that there is still better than a foot of packed snow/ice covering just about every square inch of ground that hasn't been attended to by a shovel or plow. So, do I get my hopes up and go prepared with the GPSr loaded up with coordinates or just give in to the fact that I'll probably have to wait a few more months for 1) the snow to melt and 2) all of the resulting mud to dry up?

I was a Boy Scout, so I guess I'd better go prepared.  If I don't come back, you know where to look.

Fear Factor Live II Geocaching Event Planning

The other night I attended the first planning session for the second annual Fear Factor Live event.  Last year, we were fortunate enough to be there with a table of merchandise and, boy, business was booming.  Looks like the event this year will be on Sunday, September 5th, 2010 somewhere in York County, Pennsylvania.  The anticipated attendance is around 350!  We're gonna need a bigger boat - or at least a location with a larger pavilion.

I've been sworn to secrecy so I cannot divulge any of the events being planned, but I assure you, I won't be partaking in any of them (someone's got to mind the store...)  Check out the fun last year on the DVD and see how a 14-year-old girl beat out the entire crowd of 200+!

Greatest Earbuds Ever

I've been using these (a predecessor actually) for about three years.  They've held up beautifully and they are hands-down the best sounding earbuds I've ever used.  So much so that I just ordered the current version for my wife.  They come with three different size cushions to fit in just about any adult ear and the sound it fantastic - sounds like it's right in the middle of your skull.  ;-)  Give 'em a shot, you won't be sorry.

First Posting!

Well, it's high time South Mountain Traders started playing with this 'new' technology.  I mean, come on, we're already walking around in the woods with a small electronic receiver that is computing signals from up to a dozen satellites.  We are technology savvy...

So, be sure to stop back every now and then to see what it is we've been ranting and raving about.  We promise to keep it family-friendly.
